a summary of the principles of Christian religion in the form of questions and answers, used for the instruction of Christians.

FOUNDATIONS OF FAITH is presented to the church to be used for the instruction of people proceeding to communicant membership. It is also intended for use by adult study groups, new membership classes, and by individuals who may wish to have a “question and answer” introduction to the main beliefs of the Christian faith. This catechism is written by and for Presbyterians, yet it contains, as John Calvin said, “articles of faith common to all Christians.” It been divided into 52 sections so that it may be used as a weekly study throughout the year.
